About Me
As a learning and development professional, instructional designer, and communications specialist, I am passionate about lifelong learning and continuous growth. I began my professional journey at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Technical Communication and Professional Design. During my time at UTA, I was honored to receive the Don Leigh Cravens Award for Outstanding Seniors and was recognized as a Liberal Arts Department Student Spotlight recipient. I graduated Cum Laude.
While pursuing my degree, I joined Academy 4 as a Communications Intern. Since then, I have advanced to the role of Communications Coordinator, first supporting Strategic Communications and later transitioning to the organization's Learning and Development team. In this role, I have strengthened my expertise in professional writing and editing, instructional design, curriculum development, graphic design, and organizational communications.
My technical skillset includes Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and InDesign), Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint), Canva, Asana, Constant Contact, Squarespace, and Wix. I enjoy combining creativity and clear communication to develop engaging, impactful resources that support learning and organizational goals.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy exploring a variety of creative pursuits, including reading, writing, drawing, sewing, sculpting, crocheting, and other artistic endeavors. I also love attending musicals and local events such as the Fort Worth Pinners Conference and Scarborough Renaissance Festival. At home, I share my life with two beloved pets: Phantom, my lizard, and Tiger, my cat.
